currently searching for a talented, professional “Senior Help Desk Specialist”
working at the Pentagon, located in Arlington County, VA, across the
Potomac River from Washington, DC. We are looking for a Senior Help Desk
Specialist candidate with extensive Information Technology (IT) services
Department of Defense (DoD) background for the Joint Staff (JS) J6 supporting
the Deputy Director, Chief Information Officer / Information Technology
Services (DD CIO/ITS) to provide IT services across the Joint Staff. Senior Help
Desk Specialist will provide IT issue resolutions for the Joint Staff NIPR,
SIPR, and JWICS ticket queues; development and validation of IT requirements;
deliver DD CIO/ITS strategic communication to users; and provide JWICS
installation support. The candidate will be operating from the National Capital
Region and some travel to Hamptons Roads, Suffolk, Norfolk areas is expected.
IT issue resolution monitoring existing Joint Staff NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
assess, track, monitor, and escalate trouble tickets for incidents and problem
resolution and verity with the customer when the incident/problem has been
ongoing IT wellness checks across J-directorates.
IT issues and elevate the issues to the appropriate service provider.
in the development, testing, and implementation of a business process for
validating IT service request completion.
regular updates to users on open tickets.
the Joint Staff Directorate IT Validators in the creation, refinement,
submission, and validation of user IT requirements.
support the delivery of DD CIO/ITS strategic communications to the JS users.
and configure JWICS end user devices to include workstations, Top Secret VoIP Phones,
printers, and desktop video teleconferencing systems.
office moves through the removal, transport, and reinstallation of JWICS end
manage a team of other Help Desk Specialist(s) at the Pentagon, and
Suffolk/Norfolk/Hampton Roads, VA area. This position is anticipated to require
a maximum of 30% travel to other remote sites such as Norfolk, Suffolk, and
Hampton Roads, VA.
Will be certified in compliance with
DoD 8570.01M at IAT Level 2 (i.e. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+,
Must have a minimum of three (3)
years of similar task related experience in performing help desk support (in
SIPRNET, NIPRNET, JWICS environment) within the DoD space.
§ AS or BS degree in
Computer Science or Information Systems (with 3 years of experience)
