We are currently searching for a talented, professional “Project Manager” in Portsmouth, VA. We are looking for a candidate with Information Technology (IT) services background for a Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) contract.  Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is responsible to the Commander, Naval Sea Command (NAVSEA) for providing logistic support for assigned ships and service craft, most importantly to safely repair U.S. Naval Warships to technical standards on time and at cost. NNSY Command Information Office (CIO) provides overall IT support for the shipyard. The CIO department (Code 109) and the associated network capabilities are currently supporting activities which directly contribute to Navy Fleet readiness.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Will provide program management oversight of the NNSY contract serving the NAVSEA working through the CIO Department functions.

·         Will directly interface with NNSY COR and customer key stakeholders.

·         Will be managing team of 60(+) personnel and will need to be adept to managing complex operations with full P&L responsibility.

 

Required Skills:

§  Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing IT transformation projects, including task management and coordination, schedule development and management, risk management, quality management, and performance management reporting.

§  Minimum of two (2) years of the five (5) years of experience referenced above shall be directly related to the areas of Network Operations (NetOps) C2 requirements, technology assessments, systems design, systems analysis, programmatic support, quality assurance, acquisition planning, or budget planning.

§  Experience in managing mission critical support staff of 60(+) personnel engaged in 24x7 operations.

§  Certifications:

o   Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL v3 Intermediate Certification Required

o   IAM Level I Certification Required (i.e. CAP, GSLC, Security+ CE)

§  Prior DoD Program Management Experience preferred.

 

Education: 

·         Contractor shall have a Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline AND 5 years of experience as described above; OR nine (9) years of relevant experience as described above.

Clearance:

§  Active DoD SECRET/SSBI
